Salam.

KTM Malaysia is the only rail service provider here in this part of the world.  Today's section I want to suggest KTM to look and consider seriously the following three things

K -  ketepatan masa /  kakitangan/  staff quantity and quality

From history, I never see KTM ( east coast route - Singapore to Tumpat to Singapore)  being punctual with what they promised to deliver.  It is always train being late.  Many types of excuses.  Amng them are first the Track been attacked by hordes of wild elephants and boars, secondly the track robbed by the drug addicts etc etc.  In short ktm  train never come punctually.  I conclude that - Actually Malaysia has no standard time.  Just throw away your watches.  The train always comes late.  The meetings in the capital / rural places are held late and the ministers come and go at late, late appointments.  Where got road this way, man?
When we talk about punctuality, it must come hand in hand with the staff itself.  Attitude?  I could not see chinese , indians 'working' as top officers in k-t-m.  Why is that so?  may be may be .. chinese are punctual with their business dealings.  So riding on k-t-m is not their bread and butter.  Thats why this mess.

T  -  technology /  tandas / toilet facilities  -  now in all parts of the world , service providers are doing their best in line with 2012 image of technology. They put the latest state of art to make travelling an enjoyabale one not only at one specific time but it undergoes 3 other periods.  The passenger himself, his childrens' time and his grand children's time as well.  To do that, words of satisfaction by any travellers play an important role.  See British Rail!

M -  makanan/  food quality being served

Any passenger on a train demands some food.  I think it is not so much if we ask food that looks good, nice and fit for consumption 24 hours of the day. To provide this kind of food, KTM must start to exert serious attention on food drinks facilities.  Try to imitate MAS and AirASia.  To live and do business in 2012, but to serve food using the state of art in 1970 .. this is very bad for KTM's image today and tomorrow.

I think that is all for now.  Hope KTM can buck up and make me as  Malaysian proud again.
