Tips while doing phd

Tips?

1) Mix with the successful scholars in UTHM, UTM, and many other IPTA's in this country.

2) Read and try to write a summary of what you had read. The tragedy behind many 'failed' students was .. they keep on reading 'the journals' with their pillows behind their heads while their legs did pump the swing of their babies. From my past experience, reading and reading journals without actually WRITING the gist of their readings onto a piece of white paper is the nicest path towards 'unsuccessful' or unending PHD.

3) Put a target (milestone) through each phase of your journey. Such as within the first 1 year I must write 3 papers - proceedings on the concept paper, theoretical framework, expected results. etc etc.

The second year I must at least write 1 journal article IEEE.

The final year I must write 2 journal articles. IEEE.

4) Try and build a matrix table. This will check your readings , references , any link from each reference to the other(s) .. and make brave comments on the article. The final shot is you must ask yourself 'What did this got to do with my PHD title?"

If you can make a matrix table consisting of at least 25 articles with many productive comments .. I am sure you will see the PHD. Why matrix table? Ur objective is to get , locate that specific 'gap'. The gap .. is the area that you are spending your next 2 - 3 years of your precious life.. researching/ publishing papers / publishing jurnals.. the gap must be correctly spelt out .. and the other scholars SCORPUS, ELSEVIER , .. , agreed to it. Then if u publish one in SCORPUS and ISI journals.. God willing .. u will soon see the PHD. He..he..

I got one citation already. At least one citation in Scorpus, ISI index is .. somehow the peak for a budding researcher like you ..

5) Pray you and your supervisor will survive this 3 years of your journey. Thats it mate. Good Luck and May God makes all thinsg easy for you. Ameen.

Wallahu aklam.
