Soon atuk will be old just like other atuks around us ...
Here I write what I dream of:
(i) good health; good wife (wives) .. if they think well of me ..surely I will think well of them 2+ 3 = 3+2, right? if
they treat me like king / i will treat them like princess(es) of Gunung Tebu (Besut) - laugh
(ii) independent/ i would visit you once in a while my grand child but 99.9 % I want to be alone with my books, kitabs, pills and computers/ travel all over the world in dakwah fi islam / jamaah tabligh / insya allah
(iii) be happy with my cucu, cicit and cuit// play soccer with them. I will be the goalie. ok cu between the goal post? shoot harder my cucu .. shoot !
(iv) i have my own money. I think RM50 - RM100 per day in Pasir Puteh, Kelantan will do Though ..insyallah that suffice - everyday nasi kerabu hitam, telur masin, ulam , jeruk bawang putih, .. hot coffee and lots of smile (minus the teeth ..imagine that my Cucu?)
(v) i die quietly and most importantly .. my children will accept that day .. where they are going to be happy with me and most importantly our Lord Allah is happy with me too. That day will surely come my child.
(vi) others won't see any difference between my presence among them once and my sudden departure

What I am afraid of:
(i) need somebody to bring me to the toilet / oh NO..never please/ I hate to see my cucu holding an empty mineral bottle .. while my urine with blood coming out through my sick bladder into the bottle / dripping urine + blood ... O Lord .. plz don't.
(ii) eating alone out side the dining hall of any of my successful children's home while the wind sweeping pass my poor old face
(iii) dying at a state when I suddenly forgetting Allah due to my many goats, cows, grand sons, grand daughters, too much rambutan kuning, durians, duku and langsat; at a time of extreme pleasure and comfort
(iv) people close to me treating this old man like dirt
Ya Allah , let them treat me well as well as I had treated them when they were once so small and helpless. that old time .. their well being was my utmost priority. I slept poorly sometimes .. underneath their swing made up of my old kain and what ever I can find .. I never demand any returns .. I did that from my sheer love upon thee .. sometimes my maths books went wet because of you my child ...

Sifat negatif ialah:
*pemalas/
** kuat tidur/
*kuat berhutang/
** menyusahkan semua orang termasuk haiwan di bawah rumah dia / kambing, lembu, biri-biri, itek, angsa dan ular (jika adalah); haiwan atas bumbung rumah juga termasuk ( tikus, jengking, biawak)
* asyik nak makan jer
** korek duit isteri memanjang ( org penarik beca ..di Pasar KOta Bharu.. isteri dok menjual beras dia menghisap rokok daun menunggu
* telinga pekak/ malas nak dengar ustaz / ustazah mengajar walaupun setahun sekali menadah telinga pun malas
** malas nak study maths; homework maths pun .. hilang kertas soalan.. punya pemalas punya species
* tahu nak drive kereta jer ; minyak tak mahu tuang sikit sikit sekali sekala.. kereta tak payah suruhlah dia basuh ..dia tak kenal shampoo kereta pun?
** nak tackle anak raja Sultan .. tetapi .. baju tak bergosok, rambut tak bersikat; gigi tak bergosok; pakai seluar jeans tinggi sebelah , seluar jeans season baru keluar dari tanah kubur; badan semua bau rokok, asap sampah di tepi jalan (maklumlah kuat tidur tepi timbunan sampah tepi kubur )
* malas memasak
** basuh pinggang mangkuk pun malas
* kain tak basuh
** .. macam macam lagi
malas nak tulis lah

Many of my friends sent their children for the purpose of '.. I want them to be educated as well as Tun Mahathir'.
See .. that is the aim of most modern parents in the Klang Valley. They took Mahathir as their best point of reference. They want their children to get the best education so that they can:
(i) appreciate the value of education
(ii) after getting the education , they can compare which is which in terms of monetary , spiritual values and others.
(iii) express their views intelligently, logically, maturely, responsibly, accountable, integrity, humbly at times when you have to in front of the dead ones and
(iii) see that to survive to the best nation , we must be able to see things that commoners can't

How to measure?
We can assess how much our children has equipped themselves as far as education when they can measure
(i) how many certificates UPSR, PMR, SPM, STPM, Matriculation MOHE
(ii) how many degrees - Bachelor, Masters, PhD and Post Doctoral
(iii) how much money was used to raise a kid up to PhD level of education . Is it RM500,000? and
(iii) what jobs they are doing including an ability to be an entrepreneur if time demands one
Types of measurement?
There are two types in measuring this:
(i) formal measurement / assessments
(ii) informal measurement / assessments
But we must remember - are we measuring things that we want to measure using the right equipment ( Kubiszyn and Borich, 2003) and are the figures correctly displayed etc etc. Have we covered the syllabus/ curriculum? (Nik Aziz, 1999).
examples:
a) find the length of an African tapioca - We must use a long ruler , a measuring tape - but why African? may be we haven't coveredthe whole syllabus when chinese tapioca is also long. Have you measured it yet?
b) find the temperature - we must use thermometer degrees ferenheit/ centigrade. The boiling water is 100 degrees Centigrade but how about the current in the lightning that struck somebodies faces/ bodies in such a condition the faces turned absolutely charcoal, pit black?
c) find happiness ? - you are married to the right lady, live in a proper homes, drive proper cars etc etc
how many children do you have now, you have any handicap kid at home darling?, you can live with your in-laws peacefully? your working collegue can they accept you as a short , small , petite body size malay?
d) find the exact time of the lecture ? - use a watch/ timer. Alas .. most of the students are blind. How?
e) grade 'A' in SPM Mathematics - you score 37/40 questions correctly
but in the end ..
we found that .. this world is not an easy place to measure things that are not fixed. 20 years ago getting a masters you gained employment as a lecturer in a malaysian university but now to qualify for the same job .. you must have at least a Ph.D. See? things change.
Last 30 years , we measure happiness with the lady we wanted to marry after our convocation. But now after 30 years on the road and getting 10 kids .. we think happiness is not as defined as before. Why? because all our kids .. have left the nest and they wholly supported their mum high and dry. You? you are left alone to defend yourself.
See? education is not eternal. One day it was spelt like this ..and when tomorrow comes, the measurement tool is changing. Last time, getting an Enid Blyton book is a reward for securing a success in English paper SPM/ GCE "O" Levels but nowadays .. getting iPAD is the trend.
So how ladies and gentleman? Can you help me?
