Collaborative Work
This were what I got from a feedback regarding team work while learning mathematics using SPSS with 26 DIT 1 Semester 2 students end of 2009/10.
1. Give one specific example of something you learned from the group that you probably wouldn’t have learned working alone.
Answers- Make graph using SPSS software// dapat berkongsi pendapat/// news info// can ask for help from somebody who is a bit better than us.// exchange opinion// how to process others opinion//working together in group better than alone// making decisions// team work// I learn some one can be lazy all the time but at the end s/he can gets equal marks. This is bad. // I can solve the problem by myself
2. Give one specific example of something the other group members learned from you that they probably wouldn’t have learned otherwise.
Answers: how to make a conclusion from the subject.// how to make graph from SPSS// style to present the data briefly using a single tailed test// how to finish the job on time// hw to create better team next time round// teamwork and leadership// kemahiran matematik . // punctuality// idea from me//idea// I taught them SPSS// concern about the project progress// hw do I work// creativity in presentation// helping each other// punctuality// helping kawan//
3. Suggest one change the group could make to improve its performance.
Answers: every group must divide the job to ensure every member gave co-operation.
Make more discussion and give more idea.
The group member attitude,
More attention in a group and do a job professionally.
The sleeping partner should ask if they do not know what to do. Don’t just be a helpless , hopeless and useless partner in the group.
Bekerja dengan ahli kumpulan 2 orang lebih berkesan kerana kadang-kadang ahli yg ramai boleh mewujudkan ahli lelap.
Read a lots
Practice makes perfect.
All participants must be active.
If all members are active I like team work else if the member no function, the group enough one only.
Combining boys and girls in a team is more interesting. Combine with some one who are not familiar with each other.
Prepare and planned the work earlier. Do not do last minute job.
The team member must have good chemistry that can make easier to settle problem.
Do more work and make more meetings.
Jangan membantah idea orang lain. Tak seronok tau.
Trying to adapt that findings from DIT 1 with a Paper from England.
Group What they say
a) Top Its better than working by yourself. I think you learnt a lot more.
Some people come up with different ideas .. and you get to explore other people’s ideas which helps .
Well, obviously, you have all got to get on quite well, you have to know .. I think its easiest if u know each other first.
b)middle You can find out the answers and make sure its yours are right.// later ‘you can get more accurate answers’
We can all listen to peoples’ ideas, which I think is good and .. we all bring up our own ideas
b) Bottom We just didn’t want to leave..we used to stay behind lessons ..we wanted to get the work done ..I prefer doing maths .. with group work.
Someone would say [something] ..and then we all would .. put our different words in and talk about it

1) Confidence building/ feeling successful/ being motivated
2) Friendship / knowledge of collaborators/ stability of groups
3) Speed/ volume of learning
4) Listening to/ respecting others in the group/ sharing knowledge
5) Putting ideas together/ contributing/ using different skills
6) Benefits of working together/ collaborating/ working as a team/ working as a group

Today I am going to teach you a bit about 'Continous Tenses'. You know this by seeing many words ending with 'ing'. Right? Examples: running , eating, drinking, playing , studying etc etc. All these 'ing' words could indicate an action that is taking place now and will continue to be so for some time ...
Studying = Some body is study + ing mathematics by himself in the room.
Writing = Ani is write + ing (writing) an article for an international journal in data mining.
Singing = Don't disturb them . Let them enjoy their sing + ing, will you?
Dancing = Last weekend, she went to a dancing class in Kota Kinabalu.

Yes many of you might have notice that most of the 'ing' words come with 'is' , 'are', 'were' before it .. right? So that's it.
Present Continous Tenses.
She is eating noodles with her younger brother Raos.
They are playing soccer in the rain.
We are planning a trip to Hanoi now.
Past Continous Tenses. ( Past Tense? benda yang dah berlaku minggu minggu lepas)
They were planning a trip to Hanoi when I met them last week.
She was eating noodles with Raos when I met them last Thursday.
I was dreaming of flying to China this November 2011 .. when you called .

Hope you can see the patterns of the above sentences. All actions (perbuatan, kata kerja) sedang berlangsung tak berhenti-henti ... terus berjalan ..

hari ni saya terbaca satu ruangan khas tulisan mantan Mufti Perlis DR Asri
Dia komen . pasal ketidakcekapan majlis agama .. negeri mana-mana di negara kita .. tak menggagihkan cepat cepat duit zakat kita se lama ini.
Sekarang bila .. gereja orang Kristian ,,.sibuk nak jamu orang islam papa kedana, ibu tunggal tak cukup duit nak beli makanan berbukak puasa ... melenting satu negara Malaysia. Kenapa pulak? Salahkah gereja akan terus menjamu makanan kpd org-orang islam, muallaf kita ..
Tujuan apa tu hah? Kasi makan itu berbudi. Anjing pun tahu respect sesiapa yang kasi dia makan tulang se tiap hari. Apa tah lagi umat islam yang termakan makanan makanan sedekah (dari gereja) ini katakan lah se hari, dua hari, satu minggu berterusan , satu bulan berterusan , ..
anjing akan kenang budi tuan kasi makan .. apatah lagi orang islam yang diberi makan .. setiap kali berbukak puasa .. waktu maghrib ini.. bila berbudi ..kita balas lah budi tersebut ..akibatnya satu hari nanti .. berduyun-duyun orang-orang kita akan menganut agama lain selain dari islam + zakat yg tak sampai-sampai ke tangan orang yg wajib menerima nya.
Salah siapakah ini?
3) DR Asri .. menyentuh pasal peralatan .. pejabat-pejabat amil (tukang kutip zakat) .. sangat tip-top .. perabutnya, air cond nya, sistem komputernya, .. borang-borang pun ..kat kaunter zakat jangan cakaplah .. canggih bin sophisticated
alih-alih .. orang gereja dok kasi makan kat orang miskin islam kita.
So what has happened my dear? Saya dah lama ..tak gemar kasi zakat kat Pusat Zakat .. baik saya gi beri sendiri kat kerabat-kerabat saya .. yang saya tahu daif daif sejak zaman berzaman ..turun temurun.
Sekian. Bagus .. DR Asri ..saya tabik spring kat Tuan DOKTOR. Biar orang -orang yg terasa pedas .. makan cili padi ni ..cepat-cepat buat kerja yg mana rakyat dok bayar gaji setiap bulan pa?
