English Lessons for Malays 25

Posted by sazali

Hi!

Nice to be back after the holidays.

Ok then. In the Last lesson I was talking about superlative and comparative
for examples fat, fatter and fattest. Tall, taller and tallest, didn't I?

But not all words ended up like that all the time.

For examples:

1) cook, cooker, cookest [ rubbish. there is no such word like cookest ]

cook, more cooked and the most cooked

2) good, better and best
3) bad, worse, worst
4) intelligent , more intelligent and most intelligent

Why is that so Sir?

Please don't ask me that . Else I should have become an English Professor in U.M. he..he..

well you have to learn all these funny english verbs/ nouns through some reading.

Try this. Just add 'more ' and 'most ' to it.
See what will happen?

Q1. sweet
Q2. willing
Q3. able
Q4. WEALTHY
Q5. THOROUGH

aNSWERS:

Q1. sweet, sweeter, sweetest
Q2. willing, more willling, most willing
Q3. able, more able, most able
Q4. wealthy, wealthier, wealtiest
Q5. thorough, more thorough, most thorough

To wrap up these 25 lessons , I am going to give you a small task. Do them please.

From the above words, try and write 1 sentence each. See what you will get at the end of your writing exercises. See you. Cherio!
