Suara Hati Ayahku

Salam

Syukur saya masih hidup di bumi Malaysia.  Dua tiga malam yg lalu , waktu maghrib , terkejut jugak saya ... ada jenazah di dalam masjid menunggu untuk disembahyangkan.  Arwah masih muda ~ 40 tahun tetapi belum berumah tangga lagi.  Kata arwah mati ..  dalam kebun sawit ..Pontian.  Entah?

Moral story ialah ..  hidup mati semua adalah di bawah kekuasaan tuhan.  Kita yg hidup .. bertakwalah ..  kerana dgn takwa kita diangkatkan darjat di dunia dan akhirat.

2)  Today Selasa.  Opis kerajaan belum dibuka lagi.  Esok baru start .. semua jabatan kerajaan ..akan mula beroperasi seperti biasa.  Musim cuti ini cucu saya dari Sri Sendayan, N9 ..pulang bercuti dgn atuk nya.  He..he.. dalam 24 jam ..atuk dukung dia tak sampai pun 30 minit.  Ha..ha..  malaslah.  Cucu ini bagus .. tak nangis nangis sangat ..tetapi .. oleh sebab atuk dah lama tak pegang cucu .. rasa mcm kekokkkk jer.  Nenek dia bergurau ..  cucu ker anak you tu?  He..he..


3)  Today ingat nak susun nota dlm file pengajaran.  Fakulti nak simpan file ini untuk dioditkan. So saya niat nak uruskan semua ini sebelum asar today insya allah.  BUkan susah sangat kerja ini.. masukkan test, quiz, assignments, result tests, quizzes , exam finals into the file.  Tebuk tebuk lubang ..dan masukkkan ke dalam file gajah yg telah dibekalkan oleh oihak fakulti.  Bukti kedatangan kedatangan pelajar ke kuliah/ tutorials pun kena ada jugak.  Pendek kata ..macam macam kena buat.  Yg penting, biar nampak tebal dan .. berat berkilo kilogram lg lah bagus.  Ha..ha.. Selalunya ..saya beli buku teks maths discrete ..dan masukkan buku itu ke dalam kocek khas di belakang file tersebut sebagai bukti ..  itulah semua ilmu yg mesti saya ajarkan kpd students last semester.  Kalau tak faham benda alah discrete maths ini , elok eloknya jgn sentuh file saya ini.  Bereh?


4)     Berehhhhs is a kelantanese word.  It means 'job well done'.

5) Last night i read the book by Tun Mahathir - Doctor in the house. I read 2 chpters - the malay dilemma and Education.  I think it was a well written book.  I really recommended this book to be read by all potential candidates who are attending interviews for government jobs in Putrajaya etc etc.  It explains many things called attitudes of the malays in 1960 - 2012.  In summary .. I put them here:

5.1 the malays are quite lazy / they love the crutches that the government gave them year in and year out.  Crutches are subsidy/tongkat istemewa untuk melayu bersandar /
5.2 the malays cannot beat the other races because our attitude is not so encouraging.  He gave many examples ...  SEDC in Kedah not doing well because ..  those SEDC were run by ex-government officers .. they think like ordinary boss ..  why worry not making profit /  the government will always help us in yearly budget/  PMC pineapple Malaysia Corporation ..  did very badly ..  it was not managed well enough ..  why?  not everybody thinking about making profits at all.

5.3  Tun Dr Mahathir seems to 'hate' PAS.  He blamed that PAS splitted the malay race into many sectors/ parties etc etc.  BUt he failed to make few important points in his book which is:
5.3.1  PAS was run by religious scholars who spent most of their youth in the arab continents/ countries/  these graduate always think of jihad . Their brain were mostly anti western ideas and philosophies.   Proof?  just look at the news ...  from the arab country.  After jihad is paradise while UMNO is run among the noble malays who spent their education in the western countries like England.  UMNO wanted to champion the rights of the malays.  He was correct!  My late father testified that true and true.

5.3.2  many big Malays that time who were in power either at the ministries or 'posted' to hold SEDC ..  they were non-science and engineering graduates.  In short they were not economics graduates.  To be exact many malay graduates were arts -  Malay studies, History, Malay Language etc etc.   To do economics , one has to be thorough in mathematics.  I still remebered MR=MC.  MR is marginal revenue , MC is the marginal cost.  This was taught to me by my late brother in law Mr Annuar Jaafar (M.Sc Econs. Wisconsin University,  VI Kuala Lumpur) who worked with the Treasury.   He told me many malays failed in economics at HSC examinations so there were few malays in UM doing economics and finance.  The Bank Gabenor of Malaysia Zetty Akhtar was his classmate.

Without basic knowledge of economics, how can the malays in 1960's beat the chinese in many kinds of business and technologies.  That was why , Tun lamented about the malays incapabilities in many fields of business in this country.

I think if there is a new edition of that book Doctor in the house ..  please include the above points into his book.  He..he.. please elaborate . tq.

I think that is all for now.  I wanted to tebuk more lubang .. so that my teaching file will look heavy with notes and of course ..  making some impression that maths is for those selected by God.  Laugh.
