Semalam saya sempat bersama sama dgn Prof Dr Zuhaimi UTM .. orang OR dijemput oleh my university untuk bercakap mengenai projek UTM - ramalan / forecasting.

Weather forecasting?  ramalan cuaca hari ini.

Financial forecasting ?  ramalan pasaran saham KL

UTHM forecasters?  peramal peramal UTHM dalam projek bilion RM Pagoh , Johor

Prof Dr Zuhaimi bilang ..  1 2 3 4 .. universiti ini mesti ada forecasting unit.  Make prediction .. how many staff they need in year 2025 , 2035 to cater for 25000 students?

Saya rasa banyak betul ..  fikiran dia ini.

tapi siaplah saya .. nak komen macam macam mengenai talk Prof Dr Zuhaimi.

Saya faham banyak perkara yg beliau bentangkan maklumlah.. saya pun ..otak bilang ..1. 2. 3  4

jugak.

tetapi saya tertarik ..  statement dia .. sekarang bukan musim orang menulis buku lagi/  orang buat papers n papers ; compile papers on research grants etc etc.  One of them is RM300,000 grant UTM dapat mengenai  perception ..  rakyat Johor di bawah umur 40 tahun ke bawah .. what they want from the goverment.

The results of his research was ,,   the rakyat wanted simple things jer such as water, jobs etc etc. If water and jobs are taken care of ..  insyalalh rakyat will support BN.

Now ..  look the Selangor government is doing his best to tackel issue air untuk mandi, basuh kereta, basuh basuh untuk masakmemasak dan lain lain lagi.  It seemswhat PM is doing ..he is taking our recommendations lah.

I like this seminar very much.

He didn't talk much about modelling as applied in operations research.  In fact I was looking forward for this part . but alas ..  next time kot?

Ok lah .penat lah sikit .. dah ini/  mahu berehat dan kemas kemas file pengajaran.  Orang besar jabatan mahu lah ini/  tak caya ...kita buat test, kuiz dan exam lah ni.
