Semasa umat islam sibuk nak menyambut raya haji , aku sibuk nak mengajar anak bongsuku siang dan malam yang akan menduduki SPM 2012 nanti.  Insya allah.

Saya dah bilang 1-2-3 kat dia , tahun ni kita raya simple simple je lah.. yg penting abah boleh tolong kau belajar Maths, Add Maths , Physics dan B.I.  sudahlahhh..insya allah. Kalau kau berjaya mendapat biasiswa JPA/ PNB/ Bank Negara/MARA tahun hadapan ..  jika abah tak leh jadi Perdana Menteri Malaysia pun tak apa lah.  opis abah tok di Putrajaya pun tak apalah.  Abah boleh redha dah ..nasib tubuh badan abah ..jawatan guru/ pensyarah tua ..tetapi if can if can  semua anak anak abah boleh biasiswa rakyat Malaysia .. insya allah.  Dalam agama islam, dia ada wayak,  rezeki mu Jali tak semesti nyo dalam gaji mu jahhhhh...  may be Allah we kat mu rezeki lebih lebih melalui anok anok mu .. ngaji luar negara sana dan sini.  Hatta dapat anok yang sihat , bagus adab dan akhlak, otok bijok serupo mu pun ok jugok lahhhh..   ini semua dah dikira (rezeki) pitih wahai jali ja jali ja (hindustani song).  Yang best , tak payah isi borang naik pangkat apa apa hingga ke tahap Profesor pun .. redha lah.  Stay cool. Pintu rezeki mu berpindah dari mu kepada anak anak mu sendiri.  Senang mereka, senanglah mu jali.

2)  Last weekend I went to a Seminar SPM 2012 di UTM, Skudai.  There were about 60 students there - going for an express seminar on how to answer SPM papers - Chemistry, Physics, Maths and Add Maths.  they paid rm130 each for 2 days.  I think not many parents came into the seminar as a participant.  Mostly, came as drivers and supporters only.  They stayed in their expensive cars waiting for the seminar to end but ..

I came with the intention to know some skills in teaching maths and Add Maths from the so called expert teachers DG52/ DG54.

To be honest, after 17 hours with them I learnt many new tricks ..  which I hope insya alllah , I can pass to my weaker students doing degree maths in my university.  I think , learning how to teach never ends .. we can make the teaching much more fun, happier, and ...  remember the wine in the basement in France .. the value increases as the time passes on.

3) This morning after Subuh (dawn) prayers , I started to mark my students Test 1 Discrete Maths papers Year 1 Degree I.T.  Some did well and some didn't.  Surprise,  many of them did not know what a flow chart is.  Very strange indeed!  If the question ask them to draw a flowchart in solving a summation / sequence, I got from them a straight line graph.  Perhaps they think a flowchart is a graph after all. (laugh).   Maybe these students could not understand English as much as I do at their age.

4)  Now I am teaching maths to my girl.  It seems i do not need to do much because she had done many revisions at her school in Klang, Selangor.  Here, i am just her strong supporter.  As a daddy, I always pray she will do well like her eldest brother from MRSM PC Bitara in 1999/2000 and the eldest sister from Maahad Muhammadi (P) Kota Bharu in SPM/ GCE ' 2002/03.  Ameen ya robbal alameen.

B4 I end, this is what Mahatma Ghandi said in 1940's in India  '..  happiness is when what you think , what you say, and what yo do , are in harmony .'
