Some body going to die on the road next week

Posted by sazali

Salam.

Next week the rush BALIK KAMPUNG begins. Many of us will travel long distance betwen their work place to their home town. Why? Next week Muslims all over the world will celebrate HARI RAYA AIDIL FITRI / Eid Mubarak.

2) It is a custom children go and visit their parents in this blessed month of Shawal. Prior to their long drive, many of us will check our cars and EXORAS. This is to ensure good and safe drive.

3) From papers, malaysian roads are notorious with tragic deaths among road users. this happened inspite of lots and lots of traffic block by the malaysian police. Why was this so? If we interviewd the living ones, many confessed that the cars were packed with passengers and .. the most suitable likely answer is .. they are so eager to see their mum. Prior to that they lack sleep and rest due to unexplained excitement caused by Hari Raya. Not only muslims made the rush , non muslims also are part of the story. WEll Malaysia is multi cultural and multi religious country. My raya is also the chinese and hindus raya ( i mean ..public holidays). Many bus drivers wanted to make 3 trips per day if they can driving NATIONAL EXPRESS, Mahligai Express from Kota Bharu to Kuala Lumpur via Gua Musang. Due to this madness plus bad transport maintance of they got killed along the way with so many other passsengers. Unknowingly, they bought RM40 ticket each to die on the highway with these 'cursed' buses. Many people experienced plenty of griefs at this period of time. Parents crying uncontrollably on the TVs .. Imagine one day we have 78 deaths through out the country. You know what that number means? As teachers say we have 2 classrooms of students of 78 students. You met all of them today teaching english and maths. We laugh while teaching them english essays like wwhat you gonna do during big celebrations etc etc ..but By tomorrow they are all dead on the road. Thats the reality of statistics? Yes every day there is at least 1 class room of students dead on malaysian roads during this festive season. See? that is how bad our roads are. Can your stomach take it?

So as a good citizen, I wish every body a safe journey. If you do not want to join the above statistics .. please drive carefully and allocate enough time for the journey. If you can't , it is advisable for you to go home next year. Its not the end of the world celebrating Eid without your mum and dad. Ask those soldiers and policemen who are on duty come rain or shine on EID. See the students overseas. They are smiling broadly with their foreign friends at EID. Safe your precious life. What say you? (maaf zahir dan bathin)

See you. Happy Eid every body.

Wallah hu aklam.
